Streit auf dem Rücken der Hartz-IV-Beziehenden

Die Länder wehren sich gegen steigende Belastungen für die Kommunen durch die Unterkunftskosten bei Hartz IV. Dazu erklärt die stellvertretende Parteivorsitzende Katja Kipping:

Der ewige Streit zwischen den Kommunen und dem Bund über die Höhe der Kostenübernahme für Unterkunft und Heizung bei Hartz IV verschärft sich angesichts der bedrohlich leeren Kassen der Kommunen und wird letztlich auf dem Rücken der Hartz-IV-Beziehenden ausgefochten. Sollte der Bund nicht bereit sein, mehr Geld zur Verfügung zu stellen, werden die Kommunen die sogenannten Angemessenheitskriterien für die Anerkennung der Wohnkosten verschärfen. Die Hartz-IV-Beziehenden sind dann die Leidtragenden, weil ihnen die ausreichenden Mittel zur Bestreitung der Wohnkosten verwehrt werden. Sie müssen Zwangsumzüge hinnehmen oder das fehlende Geld für die Miete vom dürftigen Regelsatz abknapsen. DIE LINKE fordert die Übernahme der angemessenen Wohnkosten in Höhe der tatsächlichen Aufwendungen. Maßstab soll dabei der Mittelwert der ortsüblichen Vergleichsmiete sein.

Die Bundesregierung plant Pauschalierung der Hartz IV Unterkunftskosten

Neben den Sozialverbänden läuft nun auch der Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen GdW Sturm gegen die Pläne der neuen Bundesregierung. Diese will die Unterkunftskosten in Zukunft für ALG II Bezieher pauschalieren. Der Pauschalbetrag soll zwar an regionale Besonderheiten angepasst werden, doch auf die individuelle Situation kann in diesem Zusammenhang nicht mehr eingegangen werden. Doch auch regional unterschiedlich Pauschalbeträge zu ermitteln wäre ein immenser bürokratischer Aufwand, der auch mit Kosten verbunden ist. Es stellt sich die Frage, ob eine Übernahme der tatsächlichen Kosten, wie es bislang gängige Praxis ist, nicht mit weniger bürokratischem und finanziellem Aufwand verbunden wäre. Lesen Sie weiter:
