The top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee said Thursday that he expects the investigation into the firings of federal prosecutors will lead to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’ resignation. ‘I have a sense when we finish our investigation, we may have a conclusion to the tenure of the attorney general,’ said Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter.
