Die baden-württembergische Umweltministerin Tanja Gönner (CDU) fordert ein bundesweites Verbot der Düngung von Feldern mit Klärschlamm. Gönner appellierte am 3. August in Stuttgart an den Bund, im Zuge der Novellierung der Klärschlammverordnung schnellstmöglich den Ausstieg aus der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung von Klärschlamm einzuleiten. Sie begründete ihren Vorstoß mit aktuellen Untersuchungsergebnissen zur Belastung von Klärschlamm mit der als krebserregend geltenden Industriechemikalie PFT.
