A damning report issued last month by the nonpartisan research arm of Congress says the Department of Defense continues to overstate its financial needs - by tens of billions of dollars - to fund the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The agency also casts serious doubt on President Bush's statements that money to fund the war will dry up by the end of the month if his budgetary demands are not immediately met.

We had the chance to see how the documents were badly faked. And the most surprisingly thing was that we had the chance to identify the person who had a main role in faking the documents. And the name of this guy was Rocko Martino, a former Italian SISMI agent.

There is no record of the governor refusing to send our troops to Iraq or Afghanistan - even though their deployments had nothing to do with fulfilling their only legal mission, which is to "execute the laws, to suppress insurrection, or to repel invasion." Contrary to the oath Mr. Kulongoski swore to defend the U.S. and Oregon Constitutions, he allowed his authority to be used on illegal "orders" that sent thousands of our young men and women off to fight and die in foreign wars........

Medienberichten zufolge haben am vierten Jahrestag des Einmarsches der von den USA geführten Koalitionstruppen in Bagdad mehrere zehntausend Iraker gegen die Präsenz ausländischer Soldaten protestiert. Sie riefen den Angaben zufolge "Tod Amerika" und "Nein zur Besatzung". Der schiitische Prediger Muqtada Sadr hatte zu den Protestkundgebungen aufgerufen. Er selbst trat nicht auf, rief aber die Mitglieder seiner Mahdi-Miliz dazu auf, ihre Anstrengungen zur Vertreibung der Besatzungstruppen zu verdoppeln. Einem Marsch der Anhänger Sadrs von Basra Richtung Norden schlossen sich offenbar auch Mitglieder der sunnitischen Irakischen Islamischen Partei an. Sie seien mit den Schiiten einig, den Irak von allen Besatzungstruppen zu befreien.
